The Style
Yoga is interpreted in a multitude of ways throughout the world, so this style may differ from what you’re familiar with. These private and group classes are designed in the traditional hatha method with roots in Sivananda and therapeutic methods. We will incorporate mindfulness teachings and emphasize meditation, breathwork and gentle movement. Body awareness and acceptance are also main tenants of the practice.
The Instructor
Margaret trained at the Kailash Tribal School in Dharamshala, India in 2014 to receive her 200-hour teaching certificate after practicing Vinyasa flow for nearly a decade. She was first introduced to the Vinyasa style in 2006 and continued this practice until finding her yoga family and foundation at Savannah Yoga Center in 2013. Here she explored hatha, Jivamukti, restorative, and many other forms. Since then, she has focused on the joyful Sivananda practice and traditional hatha styles. She loves sharing these lessons with others and has worked with hundreds of people, from athletes to CEOs to artists.
